This holiday season, Macaroni Kid Louisville Central and Louisville SW are teaming up and creating a holiday series of 6 classes called Making It HomeMade with Macaroni Kid. Each week, we will host 6 FREE 30 minute (or less) Zoom class and teach you and your children how to make some amazing gifts, foods, and decorations for the holidays. Also what is a FREE class without FREE goodies for those who attend, learn and participate in the class.
Each participant will need to register for each class separately. We will email each participant the supply list, basic instructions and Zoom meeting information in a separate email the Friday before the class. So look for details on how you can register for these classes at the end of October!
2020 Making It HomeMade with Macaroni Kid - Holiday Zoom Class Schedule:
- November 15 - 2 PM - HomeMade Holiday Cards, Gift Tags and Gift Wrap - Using things from your own home, learn to make beautiful holiday cards, gift tags and garland for your own home. Project sheets, supply list will be sent the Friday prior to the event.
- November 22 - 2 PM - Holiday Cookies - Learn how to make 2 types of cookies with various PC tools and package them for gifts for your family or give them to Santa! Giveaways from Pampered Chef Consultant - Sonia Hibbard. Project information and supply list for the class will be sent the Friday prior to the event.
- ***November 22 - 3:00 PM *** - HomeMade Dog and Cat Treats. Learn how to make some amazing treats and package them as a gift for your furry babies. With giveaway items from Pampered Chef Consultant - Sonia Hibbard. Project information and supply list for the class will be sent the Friday prior to the event.
- December 2 - 6 PM - HomeMade Edible Holiday House - Learn how to make a HomeMade Ginger bread house without a store bought kit. Two type of creations will be shared. Learn to make some homemade gingerbread or make one "so so" homemade with graham crackers and other store bought cookies. Project information and supply list for the class will be sent on Sunday before the event. Giveaway items will be from Pampered Chef Consultant - Sonia Hibbard.
- December 6th - 2 PM - Melty Bead Ornaments and Bag Tags. Learn some simple melty bead designs from Minecraft to Pokemon, to Minions to Princesess, to Captain America. Various mini melty bead kits will be given away along with a grand prize kit and inspiration book. Project information, directions and supplies for the class will be sent prior to the event.
- December 13 - 2 PM - Santa Cookie Plate - Learn how to make your own Santa cookie plate for the holidays. Or use the plate to serve your holiday goodies on. Project information and supply list for the class will be sent the Friday prior to the event.
- December 20 - 2 PM - Memory Wire Beaded Wrap bracelets. These simple bracelets are inspired by the Alex and Ani wrap bracelets and can be packaged beautifully as a gift. Project supply list will be sent the Friday prior to the event. Several giveaways will occur with handmade gemstone bracelets worth $14 per bracelet.
All classes will be taught by Helen Bryant, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Louisville Central & SW with various special guests during some of the classes. In addition to publishing Macaroni Kid, she is also a crafting instructor, 200 RYT Kids Yoga instructor, full time mom and navigating through quarantine and the changing world like all other families. She enjoys bringing these cost effective and inexpensive ideas and events to you.
